It’s not nice to send your fiancee an email saying the following:
Babe,
I had one of your Christmas presents shipped to my Mom’s house. She’s called me twice now, saying she thinks it’s a bad idea, but I told her it ok.

I know things are ok but he really enjoys toying with me. This time every year. He is so hard to buy for that he practically knows what is waiting for him under the Christmas Tree since I have to ask for solid ideas. I on the other hand probably give him ideas daily – daily meaning 365 days a year. I’m always like oh that’s cute or I like that and that’s neat or I could really do with one of those. This leaves me with not a clue as to what to expect. Not a clue. I’m always completely surprised. I’ll run through my mine all the different things I’d like and have been vocal about liking. But still Christmas Morning not a clue. Don’t get me wrong I’m always delightfully surprised. But still this drives me insane and he loves it.
I know its not a vacuum and it not a puppy, what could it be???!!!

The whole thing has spiraled out of control. I should publicly address this.
I am formally cancelling Christmas and all Christmas subsidiaries. All incoming presents will be redirected to the needy. Or burned. I haven’t really decided on that one yet.
