Jessica and I are trying to make arrangements as fast as possible. We just have different ways of doing it.
My engineering background and intuition keeps stressing the importance of research and development time as a prelude to any large decisions like the ones we’re preparing to make.
Jessica, however, has a hard time allowing me to not make any visible progress. We’re working on it, however. We’ve found a few locations that would suit us, now we’re just trying to tack down arrangements.
For example, if we think we’ve found a location for a ceremony and a reception, the next big issue is catering. My plan of attack says that we should research catering until we find anacceptable compromise, then book the location and the catering at the same time.
Jessica wants to book the location now (so we don’t lose it) and worry about catering after that. Her rationale being, if we don’t get the location booked, it doesn’t matter if the catering price comes back as acceptable if we can’t get the location.
Just a part of joining together, huh?
