Yesterday morning, I went to the gym and noticed a wedding band in the locker as I was getting ready to leave. It really made me think about the difficulty I’m going to have wearing a ring.
I don’t have any problems with the commitment associated with wearing a ring, I’m worried about the ring itself.
What if I lose it? What if I don’t know where I put it? When should I take it off? Should I ever take it off? I’m terrified of losing it.
It took me forever to adjust to wearing a heavier watch. Now, that doesn’t seem like an issue to me. Is this the case with a wedding ring? Jessica took to her engagement ring like a fish to water — I’m worried the transition won’t be as simple for me.
And then I started thinking about the poor guy. He used locker 25, just like I did. When I turned the ring into the front desk, it was almost 7:30 in the morning. It’s unlikely he came to the gym, picked the same locker as I did, worked out, showered, and left before I got to the gym. So that means he probably lost it yesterday. Or the day before that.
Surely he knows it is gone by now. He must be panicing. What if he just came through town on business? What if he’s thinking he left it at the hotel and the maid has stolen it?
What is his wife thinking? Poor bastard.
I hope he figures it out soon.

Babe no worries!! Just think I’m going to have 2 rings I’m going to have to keep up with. And anyway that’s what insurance is for! But just in case maybe we should have your name and phone number engraved on the inside. Hehehe
