I can’t believe we are getting this close. It seems like yesterday I was saying we still have plenty of time. And when a vendor would ask me when the wedding was and I’d say Nov 20th. and they’d say oh you’re ahead of schedule well we have plenty of time. I think now I’m entering the frustrating time. We have been planning this wedding since last October. And I have had a lot of fun with it but at this point I’m so ready for it to be here. I feel like I’ve worked so hard for the past year so we wouldn’t be stressed about the minutia before the wedding and here I am still wondering about decor placement, door wreaths, and silver cake platters.
It’s really amazing how much work has really gone into all this. I would have never imaged as an outsider looking in.
I know on the day of our wedding not everyone will notice how lovely the center pieces are that I’ve made or the neat favors and special touches we’ve tried to include but I’m sure different people will appreciate different things. I just hope that everyone comes away will good memories and warm thoughts.
Like I said, at this point I’m so ready for the wedding to be here but most of all I know I’m so ready to be Jason’s wife. And that’s the part I look forward to most. Married Life! Not the flowers I’ll hold or the dress that I’ll wear but it’s seeing him for the first time as my husband and knowing that we have such an amazing future ahead of us. The wedding, well it’s really just the event that gets us there. During the planning at times it’s been hard to keep it in perspective and so I remind myself of that every now and then!
And really that’s the most exciting part of all, being Mr. and Mrs. Jason Mevius! It’s got a nice ring to it, doesn’t it?!?!?!
