Real Worries or the Signs of a Pathetic Bride-to-be!
Tuesday, October 5th, 2004
Sleeping hasn’t been that pleasurable for me lately. Unfortunately the Nightmares have begun. These are not Nightmares and worries of the commitment of marriage. No not at all that’s a walk in the park!! It’s the little details that get me every time. Well little to most but enormously valuable to me. Please enjoy and feel free to laugh at me as I tell you about my last night terror.

We’re Stressed
Tuesday, January 27th, 2004
It’s official. We’re both a little testy. This whole thing isn’t too much for us, it’s just more than we prefer. We’ve found that it’s a constant battle to keep things together.
We’ve never really fought in our relationship. Jessica and I talk issues through pretty well and usually come to an acceptable agreement on how things should be handled.
These theories are being tested now.
It’s One Day..
Thursday, January 22nd, 2004
At the same time, the one sentence that can be used to justify:
- Spending Less: Because it’s just one day..
- Spending More: Because it’s just one day..

Seperation of Time
Thursday, January 15th, 2004
I’ve heard cautionary tales of couples who spent too much time in ‘engagement bliss’ that they had to rush around and stress out over the details of the wedding. My lady was having none of that.
We’re full steam ahead with preparations, but we’ve had to lay some ground rules.

Centerpieces and Seating Arrangements
Monday, January 5th, 2004
Jessica and I are having a hard time seeing eye-to-eye on some wedding-related issues.
This isn’t a plea for help or an invitation for you tell me that this is what married life is all about. This is a chance for you to make a difference. Make yourself be heard. Let’s settle this thing!

Guidelines for Invitees?
Wednesday, December 3rd, 2003
How many is too many? If you invite everyone, you risk not having a relatively intimate ceremony. If you limit the number of guests, you risk seeming like a snob.
What the hell are you supposed to do? Where is the line to be drawn?

Stacking Bricks Onto Jello
Tuesday, December 2nd, 2003
Jessica and I are trying to make arrangements as fast as possible. We just have different ways of doing it.
My engineering background and intuition keeps stressing the importance of research and development time as a prelude to any large decisions like the ones we’re preparing to make.
Jessica, however, has a hard time allowing me to not make any visible progress. We’re working on it, however. We’ve found a few locations that would suit us, now we’re just trying to tack down arrangements.

First Holiday Meal
Monday, December 1st, 2003
Jessica and I undertook the responsibility of cooking Thanksgiving dinner this year for her family. We knew we would have leftovers, but I don’t think we had any concept of just how many leftovers we would have.
I have enough photos to get us all banished for gluttony.

I can already feel the pressure of planning this type of an event. The first challenge would be planning a wedding with an Engineer.

The First Mean Thing I Did
Tuesday, November 4th, 2003
I asked Jessica to marry me on a Friday night. How long did it take for me to make her perturbed at me?
The same Friday night. You might think that you can do no wrong after something like that, but apparently you can.
I wouldn’t let her call anyone. I wouldn’t even let her call her Mom. I’m such a jerk.
How To Purchase The Perfect Engagement Ring Without Ripping Out All Of Your Hair
Wednesday, October 29th, 2003
There are so many things that go into purchasing a ring. It’s amazing the hoops that one jumps through. If done right, it’s completely worth it.
But, it isn’t designed for the weak at heart. With the proper planning — it can all come together with as little headache as possible. Let me tell you the things I’ve learned in the last few months.
